6 takeaways from Washington’s 27-13 win over Colorado

Published

The No. 15 Washington Huskies wasted no time bouncing back from their heartbreaking loss to the Oregon Ducks with a 27-13 victory over the Colorado Buffalos last weekend.

With current Northern division leaders Stanford and Washington State still on the schedule, the Huskies are very much in the thick of the race for the Pac-12 title. As a whole, the North has quietly become arguably the most competitive division in the country: four teams sit in the top-25 (No. 14 Washington State, No. 15 Washington, No. 19 Oregon and No. 24 Stanford), more than any other division.

While such ferocious competition probably hurts the Pac-12’s chances of making a College Football Playoff appearance, it’s made for a wild and unpredictable season. For fans of good football, it’s been fun. For die-hard fans of specific teams, not so much.

Despite their two losses, the Huskies still present a stiff challenge for any opponents. Depending on how things play out, the Dawgs could still make a bid for the Rose Bowl.

Will they be able to do it?
