SPOKANE, Wash. – Fresh off the heels of their 10-3 win over Utah in the Pac-12 Football Championship game Friday, the No. 9 Washington Huskies (9-3, 7-2) will take on the No. 6 Ohio State Buckeyes (12-1, 8-1) in the Rose Bowl on New Years Day.
For the Huskies, it’s their first trip back to the Rose Bowl game since 2001, when they defeated Purdue 34-24, and their 15th trip in program history. Similarly, this will also be the Buckeyes’ 15th trip to the game and their first since a 26-17 victory over Oregon in 2010.
Ohio State received a berth to the game after defeating Northwestern 45-24 in the Big Ten Football Championship game Saturday night.
Kick-off is set for 1 30p.m. PST on Tuesday, January 1. The game will be broadcast on ESPN.
