Recruiting Roundup: Huskies Host A 4 Star Defensive Lineman

This weekend hosted one official visitor and also had a surprise unofficial visitor on campus. Here is a look at who was on campus this weekend:

4 star defensive end Stephen Wright out of Cathedral HS, CA was on an official this weekend to watch the Huskies win over Oregon State. Wright is a big time prospect who has offers from all over including USC, Oregon, Alabama, Oklahoma, ASU, and UW. Listed at 6’3” and around 260 pounds Wright has a similar frame to current Husky Jaylen Johnson. He has the ability to play at defensive tackle and stop the run or also rush the passer from both the edge or inside. Wright is scheduled to make his commitment next Wednesday, and it sounds like his decision will come down to ASU or UW. Here is some of his senior film;

Also on campus yesterday in somewhat of a surprise was 3 star tight end Bradley Archer from Livermore HS, CA. Archer visited UW on an unofficial visit and he is currently committed to California but is looking very hard at two schools who recently extended offers, UW and Stanford. Listed at 6’4” and around 240 pounds currently Archer’s game file looks very similar to how UW asks their tight ends to play (block very well and occasionally catch the football). It appears that Archer is looking at his options and if he gets into Stanford it may be hard for UW to land his services but his visit to UW is a good sign in his interest in UW. It also sounds like no matter what UW will look to a tight end this year to their class. Here is a look at Archer’s highlights:

With the early signing period coming up on December 20th the Huskies will have a few big recruiting weekends prior to that date. The weekend of the 15th of December appears to be the biggest weekend and as we get closer to that date we will you know who is headed into town. The Huskies are looking at bringing in another 4-5 players in the class and it will be almost full by the early signing period.

That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
