Recruiting Roundup: Huskies Set To Host A 5 Star Prospect

Last weekend the Huskies hosted 5 star wideout Kyle Ford out of Orange Lutheran HS, CA. It was his second official visit (he visited Colorado in the spring) and by all accounts it went well and has led the Huskies to be near the top of Ford’s list. He will still visit USC, and Michigan it sounds like, but the Huskies are doing everything they can to land him. Adding him to the roster would give the Huskies a physical wideout that they covet.

Next weekend when Arizona State comes to town UW will be hosting 5 star Athlete Bru McCoy from Mater Dei HS, CA. McCoy is being recruited by the Husky coaches as a wideout but he can also play outside linebacker and at 6’3” and around 215 he could excel at both positions. The Huskies are battling with USC, and Texas for his services. Currently it looks like UW may be on the outside looking in, but after his official we will have a better idea of where the Huskies stand in his recruitment.

The following weekend when BYU comes to town the Huskies will be hosting 3 star defensive end/Buck Bralen Trice from Sandra Day O’Connor HS, AZ who has narrowed his list of schools to Notre Dame, Oregon, and UW. Trice has already visited Notre Dame and he will visit right before he commits on the 6th of October. Trice would be a big time pickup and would help bolster the buck position that UW uses to rush the passer.

Also joining Trice on his visit will be 4 star linebacker Henry To’oto’o out of Da La Salle HS, CA. Henry is a player that probably projects as an inside linebacker but he can play outside with his speed as well. He is listed at around 6’2” and 230 pounds currently. He is down to a top 5 of Alabama, Cal, Oregon, Tenn, and UW. UW will be getting his first visit and looks to be in a good position to reel him in. If the Huskies can land Henry you would start to see a pipeline built into one of California’s best teams (last year they reeled in Tuli Letuligasenoa).

That is all for now and as always follow me @asieverkropp.
