Washington Huskies Football Early Signing Period: OL Julius Buelow

The game of football, as the saying goes, is won in the trenches. If that’s true, then Chris Petersen has done himself a big favor by securing a letter of intent from Julius Buelow, a four-star offensive lineman out of Hawaii.

According to 247 Sports, Buelow is a four-star prospect rated as the nation’s 329th overall recruit, and the No. 29 offensive tackle prospect. At 6-8 and 330 lbs., he has prototypical size to play one of the tackle positions, especially if he’s afforded the luxury of redshirting as a true freshman and given additional time to mold himself into the heir apparent to players like Kaleb McGary or Trey Adams.

Buelow committed to Washington over scholarship offers from programs such as Ohio State, Notre Dame, Oregon and Florida. In September, he told 247 Sports’ Blair Angulo that he plans to enroll at UW in time to participate in the 2019 spring practices.

Check out Buelow’s high school highlights below, and stick around UW Dawg Pound for more coverage of the early signing period throughout the day.
