Washington Huskies Signing Day: Four-star QB Dylan Morris is a Husky

Local star Dylan Morris turned in his letter of intent and has officially joined the Washington Huskies.

The four star quarterback out of Graham Kapowsin High School committed to Chris Petersen all the way back in July 2017 before putting up a huge junior season that saw him throw 31 TDs to 10 INTs.

He essentially replaces the graduating Jake Browning in the Huskies quarterback room. The 6’1”, 195 lb quarterback has already graduated from high school and is expecting to enroll at UW in time for spring ball. Nevertheless, it is almost a certainty that he will redshirt during the 2019 season as Washington will already have (barring any transfers) Jake Haener, Jacob Eason, Jacob Sirmon, and Colson Yankoff at the position.

For those looking for some scouting, Morris has been described by some analysts as a typical Chris Petersen kind of QB. While smaller in stature, he has a decent arm and high accuracy. His numbers were a bit underwhelming in 2018 thanks in part to offensive philosophy and also due to recovery from previous offseason surgery on his ankle.
